Through the participation of its alumni, students, faculty, and staff in all aspects of Washington life, Duke University has long enjoyed a strong intellectual and community presence in Washington, D.C.  With the founding of Duke in DC in April of 2012, this presence was solidified into an official extension of the Duke campus to the heart of D.C.

Duke in DC is a multifunctional academic and outreach center that offers Duke activities and amenities as varied as academic programs, research briefings, policy seminars, alumni receptions, board meetings, faculty and staff offices, videoconferencing capabilities, and more.
