Please note: Duke faculty and staff acting in their official roles for the university are eligible to reserve event and office space.  If you are a student or an alum interested in hosting an event at Duke in DC, you must find an appropriate university official, school, or department, acting in his or her official capacity, to sponsor your event and make the reservation for you.

David M. Rubenstein Conference Center

The David M. Rubenstein Conference Center is the largest meeting space at the Duke in DC office. The room can seat 40 around a hollow square, with room for additional chairs around the perimeter and seats about 90 in a theater-style configuration.


12-Person Conference Room

This conference room seats 12 at the table with room for additional chairs around the perimeter.  The conference room uses a Cisco video-conferencing system, has HDMI, VGA, and Bluetooth (via Cisco Proximity) screen-sharing options, as well as cable TV.


Judy Woodruff Media Conference Center

This conference room seats 8 at the table with room for additional chairs around the perimeter. The conference room uses a Cisco video-conferencing system, has HDMI, VGA, and Bluetooth (via Cisco Proximity) screen-sharing options.


1201 Pennsylvania Ave. Rooftop Terrace

The rooftop terrace of 1201 Pennsylvania Ave is accessible through the right hand elevators when you enter the building.  The space has a capacity of 200 people.

The rooftop terrace of 1201 Pennsylvania Avenue is also available for large cocktail receptions after business hours for Duke-affiliated groups. Please contact Eric Shipley to inquire about reserving this space. 


1201 Pennsylvania Ave. Building Conference Room

The conference facility of 1201 Pennsylvania Ave is located in the lobby of the building, just to the right of the entrance.  The facility consists of a larger conference room that seats 48 around a hollow square, up to 120 theater-style, a catering/preparation room and adjacent bathrooms.

The lobby of 1201 Pennsylvania Avenue is also available for large cocktail receptions after business hours, free of charge for Duke-affiliated groups. Please contact Eric Shipley to inquire about reserving this space.
