Quantum 101 for Policymakers
Quantum 101 for Policymakers
Venue: Dirksen Office Building, Room SD-106
Agenda: Monday, June 16th, 12:00-1:30 pm ET
- 12:00-12:30 Briefing
- 12:30-1:30 Q&A and interactive showcase
The briefing and showcase are designed to equip congressional and federal agency staff with a foundational understanding of quantum science, technology, education and workforce development. As quantum advances rapidly from lab-based research to real-world applications, it’s critical that policymakers are prepared to support its development and deployment in ways that ensure U.S. leadership, national security, and economic competitiveness.
The discussion will feature expert speakers from several universities, including the Duke Quantum Center, and is designed to be approachable, informative, and directly relevant to today’s policy landscape.
All policy staffers are invited to join, particularly those working on science and technology, national security, economic development or innovation portfolios.
