Deliveries and Catering Supplies

Caterers and deliveries must use the loading dock located next to the parking garage at 1201 E street.  The loading dock is for deliveries only and vehicles parked in the loading dock for more than 20 minutes will be ticketed and towed. If you contract with a vendor who will need to use the loading dock, contact Sarah Supsiri to arrange access. The vendor will need to provide a delivery date, time, and a certificate of insurance.

Hosts are responsible for providing all utensils, plates, cups, napkins, etc as well as ensuring that the space is properly cleaned afterward.

Building and Office Access

The 1201 Pennsylvania Avenue external entrance and elevators are open Monday-Friday 7:00am – 7:00pm. The Duke in DC Office is open Monday-Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm.

Temporary keys are available for groups and individuals using the conference rooms and swing offices. Please contact Sarah Supsiri to reserve a key.

Groups hosting events in the Duke in DC office will need to designate an individual to let attendees enter the building. Please contact Sarah Supsiri with questions and assistance in arranging for event volunteers.

Reservations

Use of the Duke in DC Office is reserved for Duke-affiliated groups and individuals. To reserve a conference room, event space, or swing office, please check the calendar and use the reservation forms provided on this page. Reservations are confirmed ONLY upon notification from a Duke in DC staff member.
